Sacred Valley ATV Tour Details

Sacred Valley ATV Tour is quite an unique experience in Cusco. This is one of those tours that you can do while acclimatize in Cusco before your trip to Machu Picchu.

Both Maras and Moray which are a part of the Sacred Valley of the Incas played a significant role during the Inca civilization.

Maras Salt Mines:

Maras Salt mine is one of the popular tourist destinations in Cusco. The salt flats are on one side of a hill. These salt flats have been in use since pre Inca times and have been passed down in the line of succession.

People still practise the traditional method. They let in the natural spring waters into the geometric shaped puddles. They then wait for the water to evaporate completely. It then leaves behind crystals of salt which are manually scrapped out.

Salt of Maras is pink in colour and is quite nutritious. It has a distinct taste. Locals say, if you taste the salt of Maras once you won’t be liking the regular salt.

Moray Farming Terrace:

Moray is another popular destination. It has played a vital role in Incas agricultural inventions. Moray terraces are circular terraces with different levels.

Each level has a different temperature. The Incas experimented with the growth conditions of crops here. This was more like an agricultural laboratory to Incas.

Thanks to their invention, Peru now produces over 800 varieties of potatoes and over 5 different types of corn.

Machu Picchu Peru Cusco is one of the most preferred tour companies in Cusco for this tour. We are highly recommended on TripAdvisor

We maintain a high level safety standard. Our guides are qualified on training to ride the Quads. Our Quads are extremely well maintained.

We frequently service them. You can be certain of simply cruising through the scenic routes of Sacred Valley on our Quad Bike ATV with zero worries.

This is a great experience. Our certified local tour guides have a good proficiency on English language. They also have an extensive knowledge on history and culture.

Itinerary

Day 1ATV Quad Bike Tour

We begin this half day tour by picking you up from your hotel in Cusco. Then we will be driving you to Cruz Pata. It is a small village in the sacred valley of Incas. Here we will be handing you over the kits and Quad Bikes.

Our guide will then give you some tips on managing the Quads. After a short practise, we will begin the Quad Bike Tour with a ride to Moray. The route offers enchanting views of Andean farmlands where you will have the opportunity to witness the daily life of locals.

Once in Moray Salt Flats, our local expert will be giving you a guided tour of the site. On this tour you will see the traditional method that the locals have been practising since decades. Here you will also have the opportunity to interact with them. This is one of the most photographed places in the Sacred Valley of Incas.

Once you have had your fill of the captivating sights of the salt flats, we will continue the half day trip to Moray. Here you will have to present your Boleto Turistico (Tourist Ticket) to enter. If you don’t have one you can get one here by presenting your passport.
